The difference between being sick and feeling sick is that feeling sick counts against your missed classes
I’ve come to understand that there are only two types of “sick” in college - Fever, and Stomach Bug. Unless you have one of these things, and could potentially prove it to the health and wellness center, you better get your ass to class.
If your thermometer doesn’t read over 100 in the morning, go to class.
My throat hurts. Really hurts. Off to one side, every time I talk, yawn, or swallow. I’m exahusted. Like, feel like I might collapse, hard to move exahusted. I don’t have a cold, but my sinuses feel like there is a fire that occationally flares up. I feel too hot, but chilled. Cold on the inside, too hot outside that, like a weird thermos. I get a cold sweat at the smallest temperature change, sometimes at random. My head hurts. All silly complaints, though. 97.9 degrees Farinhiet. It’s never a fever. It always feels like a fever, it never is.
Woke up twice for the past two nights shaking and in pain. Nope. Get your ass to class.
Already missed one class. Can’t miss another without a doctor’s note.
Doesn’t help that the health center is a mile away.
